I love this time of year as much as I hate it. The late fall holidays seem to bring out a special part of most people’s spirit that you see no other time of year.  On the other hand, rather that being able to relax, enjoy, & savor the moments of Thanksgiving (and Christmas) and actually reflecting on what we’re thankful for we seem to get sucked into a universal vacuum that puts you on a chaotic, time-restricted shopping schedule where the days & hours are counted down til 12am, Dec.25!!

It’s just Nov.13th and the stores have BEEN playing Christmas music for weeks!!  In WalMart yesterday, I caught myself singing along then I thought, “WHAT are you doing?!!!”  I do love the holiday season but I could sure do without out all the MEGA commercialization of it.  Can we just enjoy it?? Doesn’t anyone think we need to reflect on the true meanings of the Thanksgiving & Christmas Celebrations? And NO, I’m NOT trying to start a debate on the origins of Christmas……Christmas as we know it today in America is a great collection of many international traditions lumped together then we put our good ole “Americana” spin on it!!
